**Super Clean** Saab's SUV gets no changes of note for 2007. General Motors owns Saab, and 9-7X shares its truck-type platform with the Chevrolet TrailBlazer and GMC Envoy. The 9-7X has a Saab-style dashboard and styling cues, as well as the Swedish brand's traditional center-console-mounted ignition switch. Other differences include 9-7X specific suspension, steering, and brakes. It seats five and has all-wheel drive without low-range gearing. Powertrains are from GM: a 290-hp 6-cyl or 300-hp V8. The V8 has GM's Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation. A 4-speed automatic is the sole transmission. ABS, antiskid system, and load-leveling suspension are standard.
