The base GLS is powered by a 170-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine, while the GLS V6 and the GLX are equipped with a 190-hp V-6. The exterior of the new Passat has been resculpted, resulting in a slightly longer vehicle with a sleeker profile. The new grille and headlight assembly are complimented by chrome trim strips and redesigned taillights.
