Wish List: Mitsubishi Endeavor Ralliart Concept
Too cool for the school run

Any vehicle dubbed Ralliart has to have performance improvements--engine and suspension--plus unique styling. The Endeavor Ralliart concept is more than just another look-at-me SUV with a custom paint job and 20-inch wheels: Like the Galant concept, it's powered by a 3.8-liter MIVEC V-6, which, in this case, ups horses from 225 to 260. It's backed by the 2006 Eclipse's new five-speed automatic, possibly the transmission the next-generation Endeavor would receive. This SEMA-machine also gained custom front and rear fascias, Brembo brakes, Road Race coilover suspension, cold-air intake, Recaro seats, and a full custom interior, including TV and PS2.
The MIVEC V-6 is terrific in the Galant Ralliart, but this entertainment-system-heavy Endeavor is considerably meatier. Still, 35 extra horsepower makes its presence known. With little throttle input, the Ralliart gets moving and feels dramatically faster than the regular Endeavor. It's hoped the new engine will be available in future Endeavors, even if the Ralliart version doesn't make it to production.
