We receive many e-mails at our offices asking what it's like to be on the Motor Trend staff and many others wondering what it takes to have this job. We hope our occasional "behind the scenes" articles provide a fun glimpse into what it's like to be here doing what we love, which is mainly all about driving and evaluating great cars.
It's not always fun and games, though. The days can be long and the roads are sometimes torturous, but everything seems a little better when the tops are thrown down for a two-day road trip to sunny Palm Springs to compare three luxurious convertibles. Life can only be cheery when cruising in a 2004 Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz CLK320, or Saab 9-3 convertible. Or is it?
