Tony Stewart to Give Away 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe and More

Tony Stewart, defending NASCAR Nextel Cup champion, didn't spend the off season sleeping in and watching daytime television. Chevrolet put Stewart to work helping to build Chevrolet Tahoes at General Motors' Arlington, Texas assembly plant in a commemorative event that marked the start of production of the all-new 2007 Tahoe.

Stewart and Chevrolet announced that one of those special Tahoes will be awarded to a lucky fan in a sweepstakes (TonysTahoe.com) that kicked off Feb. 10 and will conclude March 26 at 11:59 p.m. Participants can enter for a chance to win the all new 2007 Chevy Tahoe and hundreds of instant-win prizes by visiting the web site, www.TonysTahoe.com.

"Chevrolet is America's brand and there is nothing more American than building Chevy trucks in Texas," said Stewart. "It was a lot of fun building the all-new Tahoe, but somebody is going to have a lot more fun driving it."

In addition to Tony's Tahoe, the sweepstakes' first-place winner also receives a trip to the NASCAR Nextel Cup race in Texas in April. Complete rules and details are available on the web site. Stewart also will promote the sweepstakes during Speed Week at Daytona International Speedway, with activities that lead up to the Daytona 500 on Sunday. The Daytona 500 is the NASCAR Nextel Cup's premier race and traditionally kicks off the racing season.

"There is nothing we'd like more than to put the No. 20 Monte Carlo SS in the winner's circle at Daytona," said Stewart. "There is a lot of pressure to defend the Nextel Cup title, but our team is excited at our prospect of another winning season."

Stewart's pursuit of a repeat championship will be bolstered by his 2006 Chevy Monte Carlo SS race car, which is partly based on the Monte Carlo SS production vehicle. The 2006 Chevy Monte Carlo SS is redesigned and offers not only a more aerodynamic profile, but enhanced interior comfort, convenience and attention to detail. The muscle-bound Monte Carlo SS also offers a small-block V-8 engine -- the same powerful configuration under the hood of Stewart's race car.
