2001 BMW M3 - Catesby Jones
Catesby Jones has celebrated his birthday three times during One Lap. This year, he turns 41 years old the day before the adventure begins. He'll celebrate in a 2001 BMW M3 outfitted with an Active Autowerke Supercharger, Bimmerworld suspension, and StopTech brakes.
Jones' vehicle choice has history. In 1999, he took third overall and first in-class in a turbocharged 318ti. Just short of a decade later, he took eighth overall and first in class again with a supercharged 2000 BMW M3. The only outlier is 2000, when the transmission on his turbocharged 1986 Porsche Carrera grenaded.
"This event is a unique way to see parts of the country and drive many rare tracks," Jones says, "This event is a year, or a half a year, of racing experiences in a solid week of fun."
