The Volkswagen Rabbit was introduced in 1974 and is still in production, but if you cannot find this car for every intervening year, look to the fact that it was produced as the Volkswagen Golf for all but the first and fifth (the current) generation models. From 1983 until 2003, the Golf was the only version of the Rabbit available. In fact, the two models overlapped, with generation four production of the Golf continuing until 2007, long after the Rabbit had re-entered the market.
