Powered by a 6.2L V12 engine with six-speed manual transmission or six-speed electro-hydraulic controlled auto-clutch transmission, improved aerodynamics on the Murcielago are provided by side mirrors that fold in without compromising stability, and a rear spoiler that can be opened to a maximum 70? at 140 mph. In 2006, the coupe was longitudinally mounted with a 6.5L V12 engine, resulting in the LP 640 model (LP ? Longitudinale Posteriore). The open-top roadster, introduced in 2005 with a more aggressive rear flank, was similarly upgraded in 2007, resulting in the LP640 Roadster."
