The Liberty is the larger version of its predecessor, the Cherokee. Its only engine option is a 3.7-liter V-6 that creates 210 hp and 235 ft/lbs of torque. The Liberty is coupled to a 6-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The SUV is available as a rear or 4-wheel drive model.

The Jeep Liberty has seating for up to 5 occupants. The rear bench seat splits 65/35, adding cargo space when needed.
