The Ford Fusion is available with both automatic and manual transmissions to offer more choice to consumers. It was originally supposed to be released as the Futura, however a trademark battle with Pep Boys, who sell a line of tires under the Futura brand, and Ford?s history with the name did not impress the courts. The Fusion has exceeded expectations so far, and overwhelming consumer response indicates a good future for this sedan.
