First unveiled to the public at in a February 2005 Super Bowl commercial, the Cadillac XLR-V was officially introduced at the 2005 New York International Auto Show and hit the market in early 2006. Fitted with the same supercharged 4.4L Northstar V8 engine used in the STS-V, the XLR-V provides 443 horsepower matched with Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed automatic transmission, and 10-spoke 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels finished in silver.
