The Acura RDX is a relatively new vehicle to the Acura lineup. The RDX is the company's first compact luxury crossover sport utility vehicle. Acura allowed the world to get its first glimpse of the RDX at the New York Auto Show in 2006, with the vehicle going on sale in August of the same year. The RDX competes with well known vehicles such as the BMW X3 as well as the Land Rover LR2.
