The offshoot company of Volvo (auto) had no activity until August 10, 1926 after preparing 10 vehicle prototypes over the year. The first Volvo series, the Volvo OV4, left the factory April 14, 1927, hence the official date for the founding of Volvo. The first Volvo bus was launched in 1934 and aircraft engines were added to the product line in the early 1940s.
