SAE International Standards Now Available on ANSI Webstore - Auto News from July 31, 2009

Complete collection of 9,000 documents offered on webstore.ansi.org

NEW YORK, July 31 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has announced that its webstore.ansi.org, a website for the purchase and download of U.S. and other national, regional, or international standards, now offers the complete collection of standards from SAE International.

"ANSI is pleased to partner with SAE International to offer these mobility systems standards to our customers," said George Gulla, ANSI vice president of publications. "This comprehensive set of documents is a valuable addition to the approximately 175,000 standards offered on the Institute's webstore."

Comprised of more than 9,000 documents, the SAE International body of standards addresses a wide range of topics critical to the aerospace, automotive, and commercial vehicle industries.

"By partnering with ANSI in this new way, SAE International looks forward to increasing exposure to our collection of ground vehicle and aerospace standards," Thomas J. Drozda, director of products, programs, and services at SAE International, said.

Earlier this year, ANSI announced the release of several new dynamic features on its webstore that enhance the user's experience, including auto-complete for document number searches, RSS feeds, and e-mail-a-friend functionality. The new features make it quick and easy for webstore users to find what they are looking for, explore related information, and share their findings with their colleagues.

SAE International standards are available for purchase on ANSI's electronic Standards Store (eSS) at webstore.ansi.org/SAE.
