McGill Digital Solutions Launches Interactive Digital Signage Program for... - Auto News from January 26, 2007

WINDSOR, Ontario, Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- McGill Digital Solutions in collaboration with DaimlerChrysler Canada and BBDO Windsor have entered the New Year with a program that allows Auto Show attendees throughout the country to experience the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge product lineup and explore product features and benefits with the touch of a finger. It also allows prospects to take their purchase intentions to the next step by helping them configure the vehicle that is right for them.

This fully data-driven system that premiered in Canada at the Montreal Auto Show this week utilizes two immersive 50" High Definition touch screen plasma panels as the interactive interface between the consumer and Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge products and services.

The overall goal is to bring prospective buyers closer to a purchase decision by allowing them to learn more about the key features of selected vehicles, specify a model of interest & select packages, options, colors and Mopar Accessories to build and price their model of choice. Consumers can also conduct side-by-side comparisons of their selected models. Other program features include real-time web-based content updates and the ability to configure the system to specific event requirements.

"This joint effort has resulted in a highly interactive experience that delivers a wealth of complex product information in a way that is very intuitive for Auto Show attendees," says Judy Wheeler, DaimlerChrysler Canada Vice President Marketing. "The result is a significant enhancement to the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge Auto Show experience that allows prospects to be much more knowledgeable about their vehicle of interest."

The next stop for this exhibit is the 2007 Canadian International Auto Show, February 16-25 at the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge display in the north building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. At a later phase, this Interactive Digital Signage program is intended to evolve for use in Canadian dealerships with the addition of a suite of dealer specific retail components.
