GEICO Names Carl Tims Liability Claims Director - Auto News from January 16, 2007

LAKELAND, Fla., Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- GEICO recently named Carl Tims of Lakeland, Fla., liability claims director for its Lakeland regional office.

Tims joined GEICO in 1992 as a service counselor in GEICO's Macon, Ga., regional office and went on to advance in the claims department, serving as manager of payment recovery and manager of the claim report center.

In 2005 Tims was appointed director of corporate claims performance review. He recently completed an executive development program at the company's headquarters in Chevy Chase, Md. before taking on his current responsibilities.

Tims holds a bachelors degree from Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Ga. He has completed studies for his Casualty Claims Law Associates (CCLA) designation, his Associates in Claims (AIC) designation and most recently his Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
