The Toyota Motor Corporation is a Japanese multinational corporation that is the largest automaker by sales revenue in the world. The Toyota Motor Corporation alongside with Daihatsu, a half-owed subsidiary company, is also part of the Toyota Group which includes the companies Lexus and Scion. All together the Toyota Group contains 522 subsidiaries.
The company was founded by Kiichiro Toyoda in 1937 as a spin off from his fathers company that was aimed at created automobiles. The first Type A engine was released in 1934 and the first passenger car in 1935. Its headquarters is in Toyota, Aichi, Japan. Today, the corporation also creates robots. While Toyota is known for its cars, it also makes automatic looms as the original company did. Toyota is a booming vehicle industry that surpasses General Motors in vehicle sales by financial numbers, an achievement that is impressive to say the least.
