One of the oldest car body styles, the sedan is still one of the most popular, ranging from high-end luxury to sporty models. The sedan has a three-box configuration with separate compartments for the engine, passengers, and cargo. Sedans can usually seat four or more adult passengers in two rows, with a trunk in the rear. While a four-door configuration is most common, sedans can be designed with two doors and even with fastback styling.
