The Cadillac Escalade offers luxury, modern Cadillac styling, and the practicality and fun of a sport utility vehicle. First released in 1999, based on the GMC Yukon Denali, a major restyling occurred in 2002 to bring the appearance more in line with the current style of other Cadillac models. The current SUV models include the standard version and an extended option, the ESV. The 2007 release uses a 403 hp 6.2 L Vortech V8 engine. It is available in both an all wheel drive and rear wheel drive version. The Cadillac Escalade has become something of an urban trend and a pop culture phenomenon. Chrome wheels, XM satellite radio, second row bucket seats, and a stability control system are standard. Seating configurations can range from six to eight people. Buyers looking for a large American SUV will certainly be pleased with the space, power and comfort offered in this vehicle line."
