The Cadillac STS is Cadillac's international flagship model since 2005, which developed from the upscale performance-oriented versions of the Cadillac Seville.
Produced by General Motors Corporation (GM) using the Sigma rear-wheel steering platform on 17-inch wheels, the STS is the first Cadillac sedan with optional all-wheel steering as well as 18-inch 14-spoke aluminum wheels. The 2007 STS is fitted with a 302 horsepower 3.6L V6 engine with 252 lb.-ft torque or a 320 horsepower 4.6L Northstar V8 engine generating 315 lb-ft torque. In the 2008 Cadillac STS, the 298 horsepower 3.6L V6 direct-inject engine offers torque of 268 lb-ft matched with Hydra-Matic 6L50 six-speed automatic transmission. Unveiled at the 2006 New York International Auto Show, the 2008 model also offers blind side monitoring system, lane departure warning and StabiliTrak stability control system developed by GM.
